After years, I have created another journal entry. Shocking, I know.
What have I been up to? I know, no one is asking, but I'm telling anyway...
I have been busy working on a Lego Castle project that I've been showcasing and will be presenting at the next Brick Fiesta in San Antonio Texas on July 4th weekend. I've been working on this project for several years now and have gone through many different versions until I've settled on this one. After this year, though, I will be rebuilding the monstrosity from the ground up making improvements so that it'll be fresh and new for the next showcase. To give a hint at the scope of the project, it is 45 inches wide, 55 inches deep, and 40 inches tall. I will put up a picture showing it after I'm done updating my journal.
I have also been updating my superhero and villain characters from the Xenoterrans Universe that I created. I have been redesigning their costumes from a now old game called City of Heroes. Yes, I still inspire to finish my story about Flareback, Ampervolt, Briarstone, Chilldown, Emberheal, Lightwave, Psydeswipe, Threadbolt, and Warpfield fighting the injustices on Earth and the evil creatures from General Dursagon and his collection of monsters from around the universe. Gigerstripe, Hebirael, Iceblaine, Jinjakatto, Knellsbelle, Malidar, Neurosync, Overheat, Rapidshot, Ssagaross, Tidalwave, Undergrowth, and Viceralia form the elite core of Dursagon's forces that add to the destructive power of his robotic army. Also complicating the lives of the heroes is the top cadre of the galactic police force who's miss-guided application of oppressive law in less populated areas of the galaxy head by Nebalas, Heliodor, Korgamon, Omaricala, and Wolfborg.
And beyond those projects, I have also gotten into volunteering for my community in an attempt to make my town a better place. I'm president of the volunteer committee and I try to work hard matching people to agencies that need help. I have also campaigned against guns and gun violence because of the violence in my town. We've had former soldiers kill civilians and police and we've had other police that I knew personally that died in the line of duty. And we've had 3 mass shootings in the area. So I've gained an opinion and I'm working to make changes in how people perceive guns and gun violence.
My Diabetes is still a hurdle to get over, the legs don't work like they did in the past and the left arm is still kind of useless. But those limitations have not held me back. I'm still doing what I like to do.
